Mr. Manuel A. Peraza (“Mr. Peraza”) is a Cuban American lawyer from Miami, Florida. Mr. Peraza obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from St. Thomas University School of Law, one of the nation’s most prestigious and recognized Catholic universities.
As a law student, Mr. Peraza was awarded with the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in: Bankruptcy Practice & Externship. (A CALI Excellence for the Future Award is given to the “top” scoring student in a given law school subject). Mr. Peraza also had the honor of doing a prestigious internship with the United States Department of Justice (U.S Trustee Program, Region 21), Miami, Florida during the Fall semester of 2017. (The United States Trustee Program is a component of the Department of Justice, which is responsible for overseeing the administration of bankruptcy cases and private trustees).
Mr. Peraza earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree, in International Relations and Political Science, with a Certificate in European Studies, from Florida International University (FIU), where he focused his studies in European independence movements, such as the Catalan and Scottish independence movements.
Prior to becoming Of Counsel to FGC, Mr. Peraza was an associate attorney for a national collections litigation firm that represented Fortune 500 companies and small-to-mid-size businesses in collection actions all over the state of Florida. Mr. Peraza also worked in Florida’s largest consumer bankruptcy law firm, where he represented individuals in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
