Colorado law is uniquely aggressive in protecting policyholders. Under C.R.S. § 10-3-1115, an insurance company cannot unreasonably delay or deny payment. If they do, C.R.S. § 10-3-1116 allows you to recover two times the covered benefit plus attorney fees.
